Before I make my Tuesday night picks, I have to offer my congratulations to veteran Detroit Red Wings stopper Chris Osgood, who became just the 10th goaltender in league history to record 400 victories with a 4-3 OT win over the Avalanche in Denver last night.
Osgood hit the milestone in style, turning back 46 shots en route to the win. He needs just three more wins to tie his boyhood idol, Grant Fuhr, on the all-time list. Osgood is among the real good people in the game, so I'm happy to see him put W No. 400 behind him. With Osgood's combination of Cups (three, two as a starter) and wins, I think it's going to be hard to keep him out of the Hall of Fame. That's a debate for another day, though.
