Ah yes, Thanksgiving. Can you believe it? Wasn't it just opening night? The time seems to be flying by like a Steven Stamkos one-timer zipping into the top corner. I guess it won't be long now until I see "A Charlie Brown Christmas" show up on my TV.

Teams and fans are certainly happy when their new kids can find their way through the first several weeks of the season. Management is particularly thankful when their rookie defensemen can become quick contributors. So far this season, I've talked a lot about high-end freshmen Ds P.K. Subban and John Carlson. On this day before Thanksgiving, I'd like to give you a quick list of some other rookie D-men who are making their way as we move into the second quarter of the season.
