With the All-Star Weekend in the rearview mirror, I'm faced with my biggest challenge of the season: a 12-game return to action. That's a whole lot of prognosticating!
The highlight's of tonight's schedule is a tilt between the Flyers and Lightning, the top two teams in the Eastern Conference. Guy Boucher's club has won both previous meetings between the teams, including a crazy 8-7 victory in Philly on Nov. 18. I'm sure the fans at the St. Pete Times Forum would love another red-light special.
In the West, there are several key battles between teams fighting for postseason positioning. The Stars-Canucks, Hawks-Jackets, Predators-Flames, Kings-Wild and Coyotes-Sharks games all have some sort of playoff implications.
At the break, I'm a comfortable 26 games over .500 after going 5-3 last week. It would be nice to push things in the right direction with another solid performance. Here are the Hradek selections for the first Tuesday after the All-Star break.
