Kyle Bolin admitted he wasn't managing the recruiting process well. So he ended it -- by committing to Louisville on Thursday."Before I felt like I handled it pretty well and I didn't think it was affecting me that much, but once I got it over with I realized how much stress went out the window," the 6-foot-3, 190-pound junior quarterback from Lexington (Ky.) Catholic said on Saturday.Bolin's decision seemed a bit sudden. He never seemed in any hurry to make an announcement. Then, as he sorted through letter after letter and clicked on countless Facebook messages from coaches and fans, he wondered why he was going making his life hectic. So he broke down his decision into categories. Relationships topped the list. Upon deeper inspection, Louisville led in that and every other thing that Bolin could think of."Louisville was at the top of every category," he said. "I might as well pull the trigger now so I can get a load lifted off my shoulders and enjoy the rest of my two years."The Cardinals' coaching staff laid the groundwork years ago, back in eighth grade when Bolin visited the nearby campus."Louisville was second to none," Bolin said. "I had a great relationship with them since I was eighth grade."Louisville had an inside track with Bolin. His former high school teammate, fellow quarterback Justin Burke, played at Louisville before accepting a graduate position at the school.Bolin also had scholarship offers from Cincinnati and Illinois. Other schools showed strong interest, including Kentucky, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Purdue, UCLA, Florida, Maryland and Tennessee.Living close to Kentucky certainly caused some Wildcats fans to regret letting Bolin slip away. That was evident when Bolin announced his decision on Twitter."When I tweeted (that I'm committed to Louisville), I got few 'I'm committed to take a dump in your yard,' just some hate twitter messages," Bolin said. "Besides that I got a lot of congratulations."
