DeVante McFarlane has absolutely no problem with Syracuse's move to the Atlantic Coast Conference. In fact, he welcomes it."I'm very happy with that move," the 6-foot, 195-pound running back said.McFarlane committed to Syracuse in June but never kidded himself that the Big East was a superior football conference to the ACC."I think the ACC is more competitive and better football," McFarland said. "It's more known."McFarlane said he expects his fellow commitments are also happy with the move. The Dix Hills (N.Y.) Half Hollow Hills West standout said he believes the move will help 'Cuse recruit in the Northeast thanks to more exposure that the ACC allegiance will bring."I definitely think it will help their recruiting," McFarlane said. "A lot of people like the ACC. It's more televised than the Big East. It's more popular than the Big East."McFarlane said he never dreamed his chosen school would make the jump, along with Pittsburgh, until he saw the news break on ESPN this weekend."I was definetely blown away," McFarlane said. "I hadn't heard it at all."Syracuse has 20 commitments for the 2012 class. McFarlane chose Syracuse over Vanderbilt and Buffalo.
