One of many junior running backs in the Lone Star State with FBS offers is Jermichael Selders (Houston/CyCreek). The 5-foot-11, 185-pounder with 4.45 speed was one of several 2011 prospects from Texas that made the trip to north last weekend for Arkansas' spring game."It was pretty nice up there," said Selders. "I liked the facilities and all that and had fun at the spring game."Before and after the game Selders had a chance to speak with members of the Razorbacks' coaching staff, but not Bobby Petrino."I talked to [assistant coach Chris Klenakis] and [running backs coach Tim Horton]. They talked about me coming up there to play for them and what it would be like for me," said Selders. The visit to Arkansas was a special one for Selders because it was the first school to offer. Since the initial offer, six more schools have jumped on board."I have offers from Arkansas, Baylor, West Virginia, Minnesota, Iowa State, Tulsa and Tulane. I think Nebraska is close to offering me and Utah came to the school the other day," said Selders.Arkansas, Baylor and West Virginia are currently standing out for the two time first-team all-district pick that has rushed for more than 2,600 yards and 36 touchdowns as a sophomore and junior. On May 3 and 4, the two-sport star will be competing in the regional meet after taking home a pair of gold medals at the district meet. The regional meet and possibility of qualifying for the state meet will keep Selders out of spring football practice for at least a week."I'm in the 100, 200 and 4x100 at regionals. I came in first in the 100, third in the 200 and we won the 4x100. I don't even know my times from the district meet. We started spring football practice this week, but my coach doesn't want me doing both, so I'll be starting football practice next week or the third week of practice," said Selders.
