Receiver Tray Becton-Martin (Memphis, Tenn./Briarcrest Christian) was one of many talented receiver prospects at last weekend's Nike NFTC on the campus of LSU. The 5-foot-10, 165-pound prospect with 4.55 speed and a 33-inch vertical has an offer on the table from his hometown university and is receiving interest from around the region and nationally."Memphis is my only offer right now," said Becton-Martin, whose dad, Johnny, played RB for the Tigers. "They offered me the day after their junior day, but I can't remember what day it was. A lot of the coaches played with my dad at Memphis and they knew my mom. A lot of the SEC schools are showing me interest. The main schools that are showing interest are Oregon, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Miami and Florida a little bit."One would assume that an SEC school may be the next to offer, but the long-armed receiver believes it could be the 2009 Pac-10 champs."I think Oregon is close to offering me. I keep in touch with them a lot. I e-mail with them and we are building a relationship," he said.Having family ties at Memphis gives the Tigers a distinct advantage, but Becton-Martin has no plans to close doors on other opportunities whether it be close to home or a long plane flight away."Location is not a problem and that is what I've been trying to let Oregon know. Memphis is a strong offer though, because my mom played basketball there and my dad, but it's not like I'm just going to jump on Memphis," Becton-Martin said. "I'm just going to keep my options open because I like everybody else too."
