Charles Jackson (Houston/Klein Collins) may be the top pure corner from the state of Texas in the 2011 class. The 5-foot-9, 173-pounder recently clocked a blistering 4.39 40 and recorded a 38-inch vertical. His impressive explosiveness combined with on-field production to the tune of 50 tackles, four interceptions and a number of attention-grabbing returns has lead to increased interest from college coaches."Actually, I'm supposed to be going to Texas' junior day on Feb. 27," said Jackson. "I have also been invited to junior days at Baylor, TCU, Texas Tech and I think Oklahoma State."In addition to the five regional programs, Jackson is also beginning to receive national interest."I'm being recruited by Alabama, Oregon, Kansas State, Kansas and Iowa State. There are others, but I can't remember them all. I'd say Oregon, Oklahoma State and Iowa State are recruiting me the hardest right now," Jackson said.Jackson is one of four junior Division I prospects at Klein Collins. Offensive tackle Garrett Greenlea (Houston/Klein Collins) has offers from Nebraska, Michigan, Oklahoma State, Arizona, Baylor, Texas Tech, Houston and Duke. Receiver and nephew of former NFL star Cornelius Bennett, Jacob Bennett (Houston/Klein Collins), has offers from Texas Tech, Baylor and Nebraska. Inside linebacker David Santos (Houston/Klein Collins) is also receiving interest.
