As Cincinnati Reds outfielder Drew Stubbs advanced through the minors, there developed an incorrect perception about who he was as a player. He hit only 28 homers in four minor league seasons, leading many to believe he wouldn't be able to hit for much power in the big leagues and would instead be more of a speed-and-defense guy. But the stats didn't tell the whole story.
