Second-year starter Joel Skotte (Bend, Ore./Mountain View) makes his mark on both sides of the ball in high school, but makes it clear that his passion is on defense.Oregon, Arizona State, Air Force, Oregon State and Idaho are showing the most interest in the 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker at this time."I would have to say that Oregon State would be the front runner," said Skotte. "My brother went there and I really like their coaching staff."Skotte plans on taking official visits to Oregon and Oregon State.Long considering threeClass of 2012 RB Steven Long (Sherwood, Ore./ Sherwood) won't impress with his size, but he shows no shortage of speed and athleticism. The 5-7, 175-pounder is considering Oregon, Stanford and Idaho. Long plans on taking visits to each of the three schools."I'm interested in Oregon because it is close to home for me," said Long. "Coach Chip Kelly is doing great things down there, it's a fantastic program."Ducks special to FrancisJunior OG Doug Francis (Rogue River, Ore./Rogue River) is drawing interest from Boise State, Oregon and New Mexico."The Ducks are special to me," said Francis. "I have grown up watching them since I was a little kid."The 6-3, 310-pounder plans on visiting Boise state in addition to Oregon.
