Class of 2012 OT Josh Garnett (Puyallup, Wash./Puyallup) is one of those rare athletes that possesses the unique combination of size, speed and natural ability. The 6-foot-5, 280-pounder anchors the defensive line for the Vikings, along with handling his duties at left tackle. He is projected to be an offensive guard or tackle in college."Josh is without a doubt the leader of our offensive and defensive line groups," said Puyallup coach Gary Jeffers. "He is one of the highest-character, hardest-working players on our roster. We are uniquely privileged to have Josh in our program." The junior is considering Washington, Oregon, Stanford, Alabama, LSU, Texas and Texas A&M. "It is very early on in the process, so I want to make sure and take my time in finding the right school for me," said Garnett.Good news and bad news for MangumJunior QB Tanner Mangum (Eagle, Idaho/Eagle) was officially offered by Boise State. The offer comes only days after suffering a season-ending collarbone break in the Mustangs game against Rocky Mountain High School."Suffering the injury is obviously disappointing, but everything happens for a reason and I believe it will help me grow as an individual as well as a player," said Mangum. "I plan on using my recovery time as an opportunity to focus on the mental side of things and become more of a student of the game. It is an honor to receive an offer from the Broncos, coach [Chris Petersen] and his staff have an incredible program."
