Class of 2012 QB Tanner Mangum (Eagle, Idaho/Eagle) is making a smooth transition into his new role as signal caller for the Mustangs."Tanner is a very humble individual who is comfortable taking on the leadership role," said Eagle coach Paul Peterson. "He has come to us from a program that would throw it on every down, and Tanner has made a seamless transition to our more balanced offensive attack."The junior is an accurate passer with a quick release. He moves comfortably in the pockets and displays a strong arm. Boise State, UCLA, Oregon, Washington and BYU are all interested in Mangum."Right now I would have to say the front runners are Boise State and BYU," Mangum said. "I have family ties to both schools."Mangum plans on visiting Boise State, BYU and Oregon.CarrigerCody Carriger (Butte, Mont./Butte) is relishing his new role on the defensive side of the ball. After starting for two years as a wide receiver, Carriger, a junior, is making the transition to defensive end this season."I have found that I have a passion for defense," he said. "I still get to play receiver in some goal line packages but D-end is getting most of my attention now."Carriger is drawing interest from Oregon, Washington and Washington State."I plan on visiting Oregon and Washington but right now I would have to say that I'm leaning a bit toward Washington," Carriger said.
