It's tough finding skis still manufactured on U.S. soil. But Ramp Sports, a new boutique ski company based in Park City, Utah, is handbuilding skis in the U.S. using a new patent-pending process that enables them to make ski molds quickly, locally and in environmentally-friendly ways. Ramp, which stands for Riders Artists Musicians Project, sells only direct to consumers. The company was started by Mike Kilchenstein, formerly of Rossignol Skis. He opened the Ramp factory in Park City in May 2012. We took a tour of their facility to learn more.
