The NBA released the official list of underclassmen and international players under the age of 22 on Thursday: sixty-nine college underclassmen and 20 international players have declared for the draft.
There were no major surprises on the list. However, a few intriguing names surfaced at the last minute.
The two most notable late editions came from the college side -- Stanford's Jeremy Green and Minnesota's Ralph Sampson III. Green's shooting ability and Sampson's size hold some intrigue for scouts. While both are long shots to get drafted, I found at least one GM who thought they had a shot in the second round.
Two young international players -- France's Joffrey Lauvergne and Croatia's Tomislav Zubcic -- also surprised NBA scouts. While neither player is a lock to be drafted, both players have the sort of upside that GMs gamble on sometimes late in the first round or early in the second. With the draft as weak as it's ever been, one or both of these guys could get drafted.
