With a 3-0 win over Athletic Bilbao on Wednesday, Real Madrid clinched the La Liga title and ended Barcelona's three-season run as champion. Five Aside takes a look at Madrid's record accomplishments this season.

• Real Madrid won its record 32nd league title, 11 more than runner-up Barcelona. Madrid has more titles than any two other clubs combined, two ahead of Barcelona (21) and Atletico Madrid (nine) put together.

• Real Madrid's three seasons without a league crown match the club's longest such stretch since Barcelona won four straight titles from 1990-91 to 1993-94. Madrid has only once gone more than five seasons without a league title, a war-interrupted 17-season drought from 1933-34 to 1952-53.

• Real Madrid extended its league record with 115 goals this season. Barcelona has scored 108 goals to also break the previous record of 107 set by Real Madrid in 1989-90. This season, Madrid and Barcelona each have more league goals than any other two teams combined.

• Although the title is clinched, Real Madrid had a chance to make additional history by becoming the first La Liga team to win 100 points in a season. Madrid needs wins in its last two games at Granada and home to Mallorca to reach exactly 100 points. SPI gives Los Blancos a 72.6 percent chance to do so and break Barcelona's record of 99 points in 2009-10. (Note that wins have been worth three points since 1995-96.)

• Although he missed a penalty Wednesday, Cristiano Ronaldo did head in a corner kick for his 44th league goal of the season. He trails Lionel Messi by two goals for the Pichichi, a trophy awarded to the top goal scorer each season, but Ronaldo has scored 22 of his goals on the road. That's the most ever in a La Liga campaign and more than any team has scored away from home this season, Madrid and Barcelona excluded.
