Man City remained three points in front of rival Man United after "Super Sunday" as the two squads distanced themselves from the remainder of the league with wins against Tottenham and Arsenal, respectively. Here are five statistical nuggets from the two matches.

• City maintained its perfect home record this season. It is the only club in all four English League divisions with a 100 percent home record. With the win City equaled its all-time record of 16 successive home League wins set from 1920 to 1921.

• David Silva controlled the match from midfield for City, completing a game-high 53 passes in the attacking half of the field. Silva assisted Samir Nasri for City's first goal with a beautifully crafted through ball. This was Silva's 14th completed through ball this season, four more than any other EPL player.

• United continued its recent dominance against Arsenal. The Red Devils are now 8-1-1 against the Gunners in all competitions over the past three seasons. In the Premier League they have won five of the past six, outscoring Arsenal 16-6 in those matches.

• In a losing effort, Arsenal received a huge boost from midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. In his first EPL start the 18-year-old completed a team-high four passes into the penalty area, one of which led to Arsenal's lone goal from striker Robin Van Persie. Two of these four passes came in his spirited second-half performance, leading to questions on why he was taken off in the 74th minute.

• Chamberlain's replacement, Andrei Arshavin, did not complete a pass into the penalty area after coming on. In fact he completed only six passes altogether in his 20-plus minutes on the field, despite Arsenal's increased possession during that time.
