The Premier League weekend is highlighted by Sunday's pair of monster London-Manchester matchups. League-leader Manchester City hosts third-place Tottenham, and second-place Manchester United visits fifth-place Arsenal. Both games are rematches of surprising scorelines from Aug. 28, when City stomped Tottenham 5-1 at White Hart Lane -- thanks to four goals from Edin Dzeko -- while United rolled Arsenal 8-2 behind a Wayne Rooney hat trick.

And so we took a look at some of the numbers that may define Sunday's games.

•  Manchester City has won 15 straight league games at home, one shy of the club record set from 1920 to 1921. City is also unbeaten in 20 straight home league games, the team's longest top-flight home streak since a 22-game run from 1976-77.

•  In the Premier League era, only two teams have had better season starts at home than Manchester City's current 10-game win streak. Newcastle ripped off 13 consecutive wins to start the 1995-96 season before finishing as runner-up to Manchester United. Chelsea won 11 straight home games to open 2005-06 and proceeded to win its second consecutive title.

•  Tottenham is seeking its first road win over a first-place team since the inaugural Premier League season in 1992, when Spurs topped Blackburn in November. Tottenham's 46 points from 21 games this season matches the team's point total from all of 2007-08, the season before Harry Redknapp took the managerial reins. A season ago, 46 points would have put Spurs in first place, a point clear of Manchester United. As it stands, Tottenham is five points from the top, still the closest the club has been at this point in a season since 1985.

•  As his hat trick in August proved, Rooney has relished facing the Gunners recently, with six goals in his past six games versus Arsenal in all competitions. Another trio of goals seems unlikely -- no opponent has scored a Premier League hat trick at Emirates Stadium -- and the only opposing player to tally three times at Arsenal in the Premier League era was Coventry City's Micky Quinn at Highbury in 1993. In the past four seasons, however, Rooney has three road hat tricks in league play, making him the only player with more than one over that span.
