Following UNC's firing of head coach Butch Davis, our focus turns to who the school will turn to for its long-term replacement at the conclusion of the 2011 season. There is always the possibility that the interim guy (one possibility for the interim gig is recently appointed associate head coach Sam Pittman, although there's been no announcement on that yet) does well enough this fall to get kept on full-time, but the thinking here is, given the circumstances of the NCAA case, that UNC brass will want to hit the reset button after the season.
