With the BCS title game completed, the folks at Bodog.com didn't waste time setting the odds for the 2012 BCS championship. Of course, it's interesting stuff.
The Oklahoma Sooners have the best odds -- 7-2 -- followed by the Alabama Crimson Tide (15-2), Florida State Seminoles (10-1), Boise State Broncos (12-1) and LSU Tigers (12-1). Those are the top five teams oddswise. Right outside those five are the Oregon Ducks (14-1), Florida Gators (15-1), Nebraska Cornhuskers (18-1), Penn State Nittany Lions (20-1) and TCU Horned Frogs (20-1). The list runs down to the UCLA Bruins (150-1), and the ever-popular "FIELD" is 10-1.
You can get the full list here.
My buddy Mark Schlabach did his Way-Too-Early Top 25, and here are some of my thoughts:
1. I'm not at all surprised that the Sooners are the favorite. They have perhaps the fewest question marks of any big program, and with Texas still in reload mode and Oklahoma State needing to replace departed offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen, they have a smoother path to the BCS (although a trip to Florida State is a big concern).
