Perhaps the only thing murkier to most college football fans than the NCAA's system of justice is the selection process for the College Football Hall of Fame.
It took Deion Sanders, an iconic football talent who was a two-time consensus All-American and the 1988 Jim Thorpe Award winner, more than 20 years to make it into the college hall. Eddie George, who also just learned he was getting in, won the Heisman in 1995, and had been retired from the NFL since 2004.
Among other star players that I was surprised aren't in the Hall: Alabama linebacker Derrick Thomas, SMU running back Eric Dickerson and Nebraska great Tommie Frazier, a two-time national champ who went 33-3 as a starter. How is that possible?
