And 1-2-3, Von Miller says Broncos need choreographer

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- The Denver Broncos have chefs, massage therapists and even a barber chair in the locker room as the team tries to attend to a long list of things it thinks the players might need.

But linebacker Von Miller believes the team could use a choreographer. Miller said he'd volunteer to be a consultant, but after the league’s decision to relax the rules on touchdown celebrations, Miller wants all involved to make the most of it.

“We have to get a choreographer in here now to for us to really take advantage of the opportunity we have," Miller said. “I’m happy with it. Just think about it. You get a touchdown and you got five offensive linemen and they have a little ‘Temptations’ routine. It’ll be great. We have to get a choreographer once a week to help all of the guys out because everybody can’t move like me. I think it would be great. I think it’s a wonderful thing, not only for the Denver Broncos but for the entire National Football League."

Miller, who was on “Dancing With the Stars" a year ago, was then asked if he would be the one to actually take that idea to John Elway, the Broncos’ chief football decision-maker who has joked that "I attended the old school."

“I don’t think we have to take it that extreme," Miller said with a smile. “He’s got so many other things to focus on. I can handle the choreography of touchdowns and celebrations. It will be good. I’m pretty excited about it."

Miller was fined $11,567 by the league in 2015 for a sack dance – a pelvic thrust move right out of a "Key & Peele" – but is hopeful to get the Broncos' linemen, in particular, ready for any potential celebrations in the season to come.

“Offensive lineman probably can’t move as much, but when they celebrate, there’s nothing better than that, it’s like a big dancing bear," Miller said. “There's nothing better than that. You have the little guys that dance and whip around and stuff. But, it may not be as exciting as the big guys dancing around after a big play."
