Who's to blame for Islanders' mess?

Garth Snow has heard the boos. The New York Islanders GM has heard the chants. It’s getting ugly in Brooklyn right now.

“It’s part of the business,” Snow said on Tuesday. “When the team isn’t successful, I think [it's the same for] any team in the league, that happens. I know our fans, how passionate they are, with the first time getting the second round in 20-something years. It’s a passionate fan base. I get it. They want results. We want results.”

Right now, nobody is getting them.

Monday’s loss to the Islanders, one in which the Islanders were booed off the ice, was the low point. They were shut out by the Tampa Bay Lightning. It was their sixth loss in seven games, and they now sit at the bottom of the Eastern Conference.
