The Bears have to be somewhat worried about their offensive coordinator search now that they have lost out on Jeremy Bates, who went to Seattle, and Tom Clements, who is staying in Green Bay. They interviewed Ken Zampese of the Bengals Wednesday and still could go for Jim Zorn, Mike Martz, Bill Musgrave or a college coordinator. Martz might be a last resort because quarterback Jay Cutler, according to a source, might be opposed despite Martz's high success rate with quarterbacks.Seattle's GM search: The Seahawks apparently are going to keep their list of general manager candidates to four -- Omar Khan of the Steelers, John Schneider of Packers, Marc Ross of the Giants and Floyd Reese of the Patriots. It is possible the team might trim the list even further before making a hire, which could come next week.Bills update: Brian Schottenheimer's decision to pull his name from Buffalo's head-coaching search is a big blow to the Bills, who would like to hire an offensive-oriented coach. With Bill Cowher unlikely to come, the Bills have only two defensive-oriented coaches on board as considerations -- interim coach Perry Fewell and Vikings defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier. They have been given permission to talk to Cardinals assistant head coach Russ Grimm -- who falls into the offensive category -- but he has not yet agreed to an interview.
