• Cornerback woes hindering Falcons

One of the problems still facing the Falcons is their defense. The season-ending injury to first-round pick Peria Jerry left a huge hole at defensive tackle after the team opted not to bring back Grady Jackson. Major problems still exist at left cornerback. Those spots will have to be filled during the offseason or in the draft next year. The Falcons have been aggressive with trades and signings to fix the cornerback spot, but nothing has really worked out. The problems at corner have really be exposed in the past few weeks.More O-line concerns for Bills: The Bills lost two offensive linemen for the season -- guard Seth McKinney (knee) and guard Eric Wood (broken leg) -- in Week 11. To get replacements, the Bills might have resort to their practice squad this week. Left tackle Demetrius Bell remains out with a knee injury, but he could be back a week or two. The Bills have to patch with Jonathan Scott at left tackle and rookie Jamon Meredith at right tackle. Kirk Chambers will take over Woods' spot at guard. Parcells on Browns' list? While Mike Holmgren remains the main focus of Browns owner Randy Lerner for the moment, don't be surprised to see Bill Parcells contacted about the Browns' top front office job. Parcells may not want to move out of the Miami area, but he could be enticed by the money and authority Lerner would be willing to give. It is early in the Browns' process.
