CLEVELAND -- Nobody has really thought of the Indians as a dominant team, certainly not since starting pitchers Danny Salazar and Carlos Carrasco went down with injuries toward the end of the regular season. But their control of competition in this postseason has been almost complete:

• The Indians are 8-1 this postseason, and manager Terry Francona is 9-0 managing games in the World Series for Boston and Cleveland.

• Of their 81 innings this postseason, the Indians have trailed in only 8½ of them. They've been tied for 17½ innings and have led for 55 innings.

• They haven't lost a game in which they've held a lead at any point.

• The pitching staff has a 1.58 ERA, with 96 strikeouts in 80 innings.

• They've outscored their opponents -- the Red Sox, Blue Jays and Cubs -- 33 to 15.
