Chris Inge (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown) is confident he can play FBS football. Problem is, college coaches aren't so sure.Although Boston College, Connecticut, Rutgers and Temple have all shown some degree of interest, Inge's only scholarship offer is from Bryant."It was all off my film," Inge explained. "They said they like me in the slot too, but primarily as a defensive back."The position doesn't really matter to me. I like defense, but I'd be OK with [playing receiver]]. I like returning kicks. I have a lot of speed [he's run the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds]. I think I'm a complete player."Inge, a senior, may get a helping hand from teammate
Buddy Brown, a junior linebacker who has offers from Rutgers and West Virginia. When schools watch Brown play, Inge hopes they'll notice him as well."I haven't talked to Rutgers much, but they did say they were going to come see me and Buddy play," Inge said. "Staying close to home -- that would be cool."Inge said other than Bryant, no school has showed more interest than James Madison. He said Connecticut, Delaware, James Madison and Rutgers are the schools he'd like to visit.Western Michigan and Towson have also inquired about Inge, who is playing running back and defensive back during his senior season."Stay healthy going both ways, have a good season and attract more offers," Inge said. "That's the plan."
