Tashawn Bower (Kenilworth, N.J./Immaculata) hasn't started to research the schools that have made him scholarship offers, but when he does he'll have plenty to sort through.Bower, a 6-foot-5, 225-pound defensive end, has 10 offers, and the list will undoubtedly grow. His offers are from Connecticut, Florida State, Ohio State, Purdue, Rutgers, Syracuse, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia."I think it's a little early to say I favor one school over another," Bower said. "Right now I'm just trying to focus on the season."Bower plays defensive end and slot receiver in high school. He said he's being recruited primarily as a defensive end, but added that some schools have expressed interest in him as a tight end or linebacker."I really prefer defensive end," he said. "I think my strength is getting to the ball right off the snap."Alabama, California, Georgia, LSU, Oregon, South Carolina and UCLA are among the other schools that have shown interest, Bower said.Although he has relatives who live near Ohio State, he said that won't be one of the primary factors when he makes his decision."Any school that has offered has an even chance right now," Bower said. "After the season I'll start narrowing things down."
