Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep has an army of Division I recruits on its roster and is ranked as the top high school team in the nation by several media outlets. The Ironmen enter the 2010 season with a 35-game winning streak, but that streak could be in jeopardy when Don Bosco opens against Mission Viejo (Calif.) Saturday night at Don Bosco's Granatell Stadium.Four-star defensive back Yuri Wright, four-star defensive tackle Darius Hamilton and four-star safety Elijah Shumate are among Don Bosco's uncommitted seniors. Wright and Hamilton are both in the ESPNU 150: Wright is No. 41 and Hamilton is No. 67.Don Bosco has three other players who have already committed: three-star linebacker Michael Strizak (Boston College), three-star offensive lineman Tyler Samra (Connecticut) and three-star wide receiver Leonte Carroo (Rutgers).Perhaps the most talented player on the Don Bosco roster is defensive back Jabrill Peppers, who will likely be one of the top recruits in the Class of 2014.Mission Viejo, which opened its season with a 35-6 triumph over Bakersfield (Calif.) Centennial last weekend, isn't lacking talent either. Three-star running back Jahleel Pinner has committed to USC, and three-star offensive lineman Austin Maass committed to San Diego State.Don Bosco has won 14 of its last 15 games against out-of-state opponents. The last time the Ironmen played a team from California they defeated Concord De La Salle, 30-6, in 2009.Fuller expected to narrow list
Four-star athlete Devin Fuller (Old Tappen, N.J./Old Tappen) will reportedly reduce the number of schools he's looking at to five sometime this weekend. On Thursday night Fuller, who Is No. 40 on the ESPNU 150, said he was still considering UCLA, Rutgers, Connecticut, Boston College, TCU, Nebraska, Alabama, Penn State, Georgia Tech and Miami. He is scheduled to take an official visit to Nebraska on Oct. 7.Fuller, a quarterback in high school, rushed for 2,306 yards and 32 touchdowns last season. He also passed for 1,844 yards and 20 TDs.
