From a recruiting standpoint, the marquee game played in the Northeast last weekend took place in New York. Rochester Aquinas beat Saint Joseph Collegiate Institute, 40-20, in a contest that featured two of the top recruits in the country: Aquinas offensive/defensive tackle
Jarron Jones and St Joe's quarterback
Chad Kelly.Jones is rated as the No. 13 offensive tackle in the country, but may play on the defensive line in college. He committed to Notre Dame after decommitting from Penn State.Kelly, the nephew of NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly, is the No. 5 quarterback in the country and has committed to Clemson. He became the first New York high school player to rush for more than 1,000 yards and pass for more than 2,000 yards in a season when he was a junior.Aquinas, the defending Class A champion, sacked Kelly six times during Saturday's victory. Kelly ran for 85 yards on 10 carries, and completed 16 of 27 passes for 166 yards in the loss. He ran for one touchdown and passed for another."I got hit on nearly every play," Kelly said. "They never allowed us to get anything going on offense. It wasn't our best effort."Kelly passed for 2,159 yards and 24 touchdowns (eight interceptions) last season. Three of his eight interceptions came during a 48-21 loss to Aquinas.

Andrew Isaacs (Manchester, Conn./Manchester) were among those who visited Boston College during Saturday's 24-17 loss to Northwestern.Severin, who will take an unofficial visit to Penn State this weekend, is considering BC, Connecticut, Iowa, Penn State and Virginia.Isaacs has offers from BC and Connecticut.
