Buddy Brown (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown) visited two Big East schools last spring, and things couldn't have gone better during either trip. One day after he picked up an offer from West Virginia, Brown received an offer from Rutgers. It appears he'll enter his junior season with those two offers, but it may not be long before he adds to his collection."I'm real high on Rutgers and West Virginia," Brown said. "When I got [the Rutgers] offer I was real excited. The West Virginia offer was unexpected."The other schools that have shown interest are Penn State, South Carolina, Virginia, Wisconsin, Florida, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Michigan State, Stanford and Oklahoma. Out of that group Stanford is the name that really stands out, but it's an honor just that all these schools know who you are."He had a chance to see South Carolina this summer during the Gamecock Showcase.Although Brown is used primarily as an outside linebacker in high school, he said college coaches have told him his 6-foot-2, 200-pound frame may be better suited to play safety at the next level.Brown said right now he plans to take all five of his official visits next season before making his final decision."I'm interested to find out who really wants me," Brown said. "I'll know a lot more on Sept. 1 [when he can begin receiving recruiting material]. I'm interested in the school's atmosphere and my relationship with the coaches. I'll pick whatever school is the best fit for me."I want to take all five officials, but if I find a school that's right for me I'll commit early."
