The University of Miami has begun to show interest in tight end Andrew Isaacs (Manchester, Conn./Manchester), and, despite the turbulence surrounding the program, Isaacs appears to have an interest in Miami as well."I'm aware of what's going on down there, but that doesn't affect things right now," Isaacs said. "They haven't even offered yet."That's a school with tons of tradition. From what I understand they're running an offense similar to what we run where I could be used as a true tight end. I'd love to go there and play."Isaacs, who may be the top prospect from New England in the Class of 2013, has offers from Boston College and Connecticut. He visited both schools this month."I wouldn't say I like one school more than the other," Isaacs said. "I like both schools a lot. The competition [for playing time] seems a little higher at BC -- at least at my position -- but I'm sure that will change in the next few years."Isaacs attended camps at BC, UConn and Rutgers this summer, and said he's in touch with each school on a regular basis. He said Maryland is another school that has shown heavy interest.Isaacs found out about Miami's interest through his coach, Marco Pizzoferrato, who hadn't checked his work email for several days, but found several messages from a member of Miami's staff when he did."From what he told me they just said they have interest," Isaacs said. "They heard about me through other coaches, but haven't seen me play. They said they want to see me in camp next year, and they want me to send film from this season."Between now and then he'll be monitoring any actions the NCAA may take against the Miami program."Yeah, definitely," he said.
