Sean McGowan's ties to New England paid off last weekend when three-star tight end Jameson McShea (Cotuit, Mass./B.C. High) committed to Temple.McGowan, who left his job as defensive coordinator at the University of New Hampshire to accept a position on Steve Addazio's Temple staff following the 2011 season, coached McShea during the 7-on-7 portion of Boston College's camp last summer and was recruiting McShea while he was still coaching at New Hampshire."The primary reason I got recruited by Temple was Sean, but the school speaks for itself," McShea said. "When he went to Temple no one was really recruiting the New England/Northeast area. I kept in touch with him."I got invited to their camp and when I went down there I loved it. Coach Addazio told me to call him as soon as I landed at Logan [Logan International Airport). It all happened very quickly."McShea, who is 6-4¼, weighed 236 pounds at the Temple camp. He had offers from New Hampshire and Elon, and was receiving interest from Boston College, Massachusetts, Maryland, and Northwestern.McShea said he wants to go to a college in the city and liked the fact Temple is located in Philadelphia."I'm more of a receiver, but I have the body to block," McShea said. "They told me they're going to use two tight ends and Coach Addazio, from his history at Florida, I know he'll be passing the ball a lot. The program is probably going to be in the Big East and I know he's gonna get the job done there."McShea said he'll likely be one of four tight ends on the roster when he begins college in the fall of 2012. McShea said he has no interest in checking out other schools at this point."Temple is definitely where I'm headed," he said. "I want to play for Steve Addazio. I'm 100 percent there."
