Ask three-star offensive lineman Miles Bartholomew (Athol Springs, N.Y./Saint Francis) where he wants to play college football and he'll reply without hesitation."I really want to go to Boston College," Bartholomew said. "Right now it's out of my hands."Bartholomew, 6-foot-4, 273 pounds, attended the final session of Boston College's camp Sunday and was told he's next in line among guards and centers BC is recruiting. The problem, Bartholomew said, is that the BC coaches aren't sure if they're going to bring in another player at either of those positions.Three offensive linemen from the Class of 2012 have already committed to BC: Jim Cashman (Haddonfield, N.J./ Haddonfield Memorial), Win Homer (Christchurch, Va./ Christchurch) and Frank Taylor (Warminster, Pa./ Archbishop Wood). Taylor will likely play one of the interior line positions."BC talked about me playing center and Rutgers worked me at center, but most schools want me at guard or tackle," said Bartholomew. "[BC offensive line coach] Sean Devine told me if they didn't have a commit at guard/center they would have offered me."Bartholomew's two offers are from Maine and Albany, but he said at least five other schools have told him they may offer."I'm fourth or fifth on Connecticut's board," he said. "Duke wants to see senior film. Rutgers said they were gonna offer me, but late because I'm not on top of their board. I know I'm on Stanford's board."[Buffalo) and Ball State are close to offering me, and I have a preferred walk-on at Penn State."BC is the school he likes the most, however."Boston College is a perfect fit," Bartholomew said. "It's the right mix of academics and athletics. They said to stay in contact with them because they may take another one [guard or center], and that strange things happen."That's what I'm hoping for."Jackson lands BC offerBC has made an offer to wide receiver Harrison Jackson (Purcellville, Va./Loudoun Valley). Hen attended camp there last week and received an offer Monday.Jackson, who will be a senior this fall, is 6-2 and weighs 185 pounds.
