Dion Witty (Plantation, Fla./Coral Springs) is among those who stood out earlier this week during the second session of the Boston College camp.Witty has verbal offers from Indiana, Minnesota, Purdue, Central Florida, Vanderbilt, Wisconsin, Florida Atlantic and Western Michigan. However, he said he was hoping BC would add to that list."Out of all the colleges I wanted to come here," Witty said. "I've heard a lot about BC and I wanted to see what it's like. Everything is good so far. I'm hoping to come away with an offer from here."Witty, who will be a senior in the fall, committed to Indiana last month, but two days later announced that he had decommitted and was keeping his options open. He said he doesn't plan to choose a college until after his senior season."I still have a lot of research to do," Witty said. "I'm not gonna commit until I take all of my official visits."
Fedrick hoping first offer comes soonRunning back
Jerickson Fedrick (Salem, N.H./Salem) is hoping his first scholarship offer comes this weekend."I was told by Fordham that there's a possible offer if I go down to their one-day camp," Fedrick said.Fedrick is scheduled to attend a one-day camp at Fordham on Saturday. He has already attended camps at Boston College and East Carolina this month."ECU told me they were interested," he said. "They said they liked my tape and they'll get back to me."I'm trying to get my SAT scores higher so I can qualify for [BC], then everything will be all good. I just have to hit my SAT prep courses."Fedrick completed the 55-meter dash in 6.39 seconds to win the New Hampshire's Indoor Track and Field Championships last March.
