Connecticut recruiting coordinator Matt Cerosimo couldn't have been more straightforward in his dealings with tight end
Andrew Isaacs (Manchester, Conn./Manchester)."He told me, 'If you attend our camp you might earn yourself a scholarship,' '' Isaacs said. "So I went to their one-day camp [Sunday] and did my thing. When I left camp he said he liked how I looked."Cerosimo must have been impressed with what he saw, because he called Isaacs with a scholarship offer Monday morning. Isaacs, who also has an offer from Boston College, may be the best prospect from New England in the class of 2013."He's got those two offers and there's sure to be more soon," Manchester coach Marco Pizzoferrato said. "Connecticut was very impressed with what he did throughout the day."Isaacs said he would give Connecticut a slight edge over Boston College at this point because of his familiarity with the school. He said he has been to at least five football-related events at Connecticut, but has yet to visit Boston College."UConn is close to home and it would be easy for my family to come see me play," Isaacs said. "I like their coaches and their facilities. I still have to look into the education at each school because right now I'm just going off what I know about the football programs. It doesn't matter right now anyway because I still have two more years to Isaacs, who turned 16 in January, is 6-foot-2¼, and weighs 230 pounds.Isaacs said other than Boston College and Connecticut, Iowa is the school that's showing the most interest. He also has received camp invitations from Maryland, Oregon, Penn State and Princeton. He's scheduled to attend the third session of Boston College's camp this weekend and will attend a Maryland camp later this month.
