Since he committed to Rutgers earlier this month, wide receiver Carlton Agudosi is among those who have been recruiting athlete Kye Morgan.Aguidosi and Morgan are high school teammates at Franklin High School in Somerset, N.J., and Rutgers is one of seven schools that have extended a verbal scholarship offer to Morgan. Rutgers is about a five-minute drive from Morgan's home."It really doesn't matter to me if I go to school close or far away, but I do like Rutgers," Morgan said. "I'm going to make a list [of favorite schools] next month. That's when I'll start narrowing. If it comes down to Rutgers and another school I suppose [Agudosi's commitment] could sway me. He's one of my good friends. We hang out every weekend."Boston College, Connecticut, Illinois, Temple, Towson and Virginia are the other schools that have offered Morgan, who is being recruited to play both running back and defensive back. He said he also hears regularly from Miami, Pittsburgh, Northwestern and Wisconsin.Morgan has taken unofficial visits to Connecticut and Rutgers. He has scheduled a visit to Virginia on June 5, and said he hopes to visit all of the schools that offer him a scholarship."I don't want to throw anybody out yet," Morgan said. "I'll try to get to all the schools, but I don't see why they don't let us take official visits earlier. Some of these [NCAA] rules don't make sense."It's too early for me to pick one school over another. That's why I want to visit and see where I'm comfortable. I'm leaning toward playing defense, but if they told me to play running back I'll play running back."Morgan set school records for yards rushing in a game (287) and rushing attempts in a game (38) during a 35-14 victory over Hillsborough when he was a sophomore. He gained 1,501 all-purpose yards and scored 21 touchdowns last season."I just want to go somewhere where I'll fit in," Morgan said. "I want to go somewhere where the coach will be there for four years."Logan adds offerLinebacker/running back Abner Logan Jr. (Cambridge, Mass./Dexter School) received an offer from Syracuse on Monday. He also has offers from Florida International, Massachusetts and Towson.
