It looks like June will be a busy month for linebacker/running back Abner Logan (Cambridge, Mass./Dexter School). He's undoubtedly hoping it will be a productive month as well.Logan said he plans to attend several one-day camps in June with the hope of increasing his number of scholarship offers. Logan currently has offers from Florida International, Massachusetts and Towson.Boston College, Connecticut, Florida, NC State, Northwestern and Syracuse are among the camps Logan plans to attend. He said he'll take an unofficial visit to Florida International after he attends the Florida camp."It's frustrating to see other guys ranked where I am who have 10 or 15 offers right now," Logan said. "We knew the month of June is when he's going to get the majority of his offers," said Dexter coach Casey Day. "He's an excellent student and he's doing everything right. I think it's just a matter of time."I think he's definitely a kid who should have five to 10 offers right now, so he is a little frustrated. I'm not sure if it's his height [Logan is 6-foot-1, 225 pounds], the competition we play or what."Logan said he is being recruited to play linebacker by some schools, and as a running back by others. Last season was his first season as a running back. He said he has no preference regarding the position he plays."I just want to play," he said.Massachusetts and Florida International were among the programs that sent coaches to Logan's school last week."They both said he's one of their top recruits," Day said. "UMass, with the transition to [FBS], said they want to corner the market on the best Massachusetts kids."More and more schools are looking at him as a running back. It's the schools with a Pro Style offense that like him at running back. He's real raw, and the room for improvement [as a running back] is huge."The kid's No. 1 asset is explosiveness and athleticism. Hopefully [another offer] is coming and then the dominoes will start falling."
