• QB Malik Bush still waiting on offers

Quarterback Mailk Bush (Hackensack, N.J./Hackensack) may still be feeling the effects of a broken collarbone, which he suffered during the first game of his junior season.Bush didn't return until Hackensack's Thanksgiving Day game against Teaneck, and played sparingly in that contest. He said the fact that he missed most of last season may be the primary reason he's still waiting for his first scholarship offer."I am kind of surprised I have no offers yet, but I think it's because I broke my collarbone and didn't have any junior film," Bush said. "I rolled out to the right, got tackled from behind and the defensive end fell on top of me. I would be frustrated if I didn't know the reason I'm waiting for an offer, but I know why."Bush said Connecticut is among the schools he hears from regularly. "They've been one of the most consistent in terms of showing interest," Bush said. "I'd say LSU, Arkansas and either Rutgers or Michigan State are the other schools I hear from the most."I think I can do both (run and pass), so I would consider myself a dual-threat quarterback. I think what I do best is throw the long ball."He said Delaware, an FCS school that competes in the Colonial Athletic Association, hinted that an offer may be waiting for him if he performs well at the school's summer camp.Bush has a connection to Rutgers, where his older brother Malcolm is a tight end."Schools are talking to my coach a lot," Bush said. "They want to see some game film and they want me to come to their camps. I don't think I'll get that first offer until either I send out senior film, or I go to a camp and a team really likes me."
