Canaan Severin (Marlborough, Mass./Worcester Academy) had his list of verbal scholarship offers grow to 10 this week when he added offers from Western Michigan and Syracuse."Coach Nagy [Western Michigan assistant coach Rich Nagy] visited during preseason and we kept in touch," Severin said. "I wasn't really surprised they made an offer, but I was happy to get it."Syracuse showed more and more interest during the winter. Coach Conley [Syracuse assistant Dan Conley] came to school Tuesday. He said he needed to do the eyeball test before he offered me."Severin's other offers are from Boston College, Rutgers, Virginia, NC State, Iowa, Penn State, Connecticut and Villanova. Coaches from Boston College, Connecticut, Penn State and Notre Dame also stopped by Worcester Academy this week.Severin said Stanford was scheduled to be at his school on Friday."I think I have to do a lot more research on the schools," Severin said. "One of the coaches gave me some good advice. He said, 'You have to see a lot of schools before you know which ones you like and don't like.'"Severin said Maryland is another school that has shown strong interest. "I probably won't decide until after my senior season," Severin said. "I don't want to rush anything. This is one of the biggest decisions of my life."
