Jake Kiley (Plymouth, N.H./New Hampton School) took unofficial visits to Boston College and Connecticut earlier this month, and Kiley said he feels good about his chances of landing a scholarship offer from one or both schools."I met with [BC assistant coach] Sean Devine briefly and they want me to go to a one-day camp," Kiley said. "If I perform there I think I'll be OK. I think I'll be going to their first session [of summer camp]."Although Kiley plays quarterback for New Hampton, he's being recruited primarily to play wide receiver or defensive back. He attended Connecticut's spring game, and said he might already have an offer from Connecticut had the school not had a coaching change following the 2010 season.Kiley is friends with two players on the Connecticut roster: quarterback Scott McCummings and tight end Ryan Griffin. Griffin also played at the New Hampton School."I think I'm still in the running for an offer from UConn," Kiley said. "I think I'll know by the time I attend a one-day camp there. I really feel like if I go to camp and do OK I'll be all set."Kiley, 6-foot-2 and 174 pounds, said Connecticut may have some interest in him as a quarterback as well. His fastest time in the 40-yard dash was the 4.56 he ran at the Reebok All-American Showcase in Canton, Mass., last year."I'm ready for the camp season and I hope I'll be a lot faster this summer," he said.Kiley said he also talks with coaches from Virginia and Duke every week. Penn State, NC State and Georgia Tech are among the other schools that have shown interest. He plans to attend camps at Boston College, Connecticut, Maryland, Virginia, Duke and Penn State this summer."I'll probably decided before next season," he said. "Once I commit I'll stay committed. I'm not one of those guys who's going to decommit."
