Don Webber (Duxbury, Mass./Duxbury) is spending a good chunk of his April vacation checking out colleges. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound wide receiver said he will visit Richmond, Virginia and William & Mary this week. Harvard, Brown, Princeton and Boston College have shown the most interest so far, and he's also heard from Connecticut and Penn State."I've been to BC twice," Webber said. "I went to a practice, and then went back for the spring game last weekend. I've heard from every Ivy League school and I've been invited to all the Ivy League camps. I know I'll definitely be attending camps at Harvard, Brown and BC."Duxbury coach Dave Maimaron said Webber has been electronically timed in the 40-yard dash at 4.44 seconds."He has size and speed that you don't see too often," Maimaron said. "Great pair of hands and he's getting better at his route running. I know he has some interest in Cal and that he's sent stuff to Northwestern. He's just looking for a school that offers a good education."He's getting a lot of Ivy League interest, but a lot of [FBS] schools are starting to show interest as well. He's getting mail from all the Top 20 schools in the country. I think he's gonna have a tough decision to make."Webber caught a school record 53 passes for 921 yards and 10 touchdowns last season, when Duxbury capped a 13-0 season by beating Concord-Carlisle 35-13 in the Eastern Massachusetts Division 2A Super Bowl.Webber also played lacrosse for a Duxbury program that's among the best in the Northeast, but dropped that sport this year so he could focus on football training."He can definitely play at the [FBS] level," Maimaron said. "Right now these guys want to see him on campus for a day. We'll have to schedule some [one-day camps] with schools that are really interested in him."
