He may be the best college prospect from Rhode Island in the Class of 2012, but Davon Robertson (East Providence, R.I./St. Raphael Academy) is still waiting for his first scholarship offer.Robertson, a 6-foot-4, 225-pound tight end/defensive end, attended a Boston College scrimmage last week and said he plans to attend one session of the BC camp this summer."BC and Rutgers are probably the two strongest suitors from the Division I level," St. Raphael coach Mike Sassi said. "He was also invited to the Penn State camp. He does well academically, so he's even heard from a few Ivies."I think his best position is defensive end, but BC is tossing around the idea of using him at tight end. If they can find guys who are legitimately over 6-3 they're all ears."Robertson moved to Rhode Island from Massachusetts following his sophomore year. He also played on the St. Raphael basketball team that won the state's open tournament last winter.Robertson said he will attend a Rutgers junior day on April 30. He has family in Louisiana, and also plans to attend an LSU camp this summer."I just want to compete at the highest level," Robertson said. "I like BC a lot, but it's the only [FBS] school I've visited so far, so I don't have anything to compare it to. I'm just waiting to hear from other schools."I think I'm better at defensive end, but with some work I can play tight end. Whatever gets me playing time."Robertson also visited the University of New Hampshire, and said if things don't work out with any FBS school New Hampshire will be at the top of his list."Toward the middle of last season a light went on and he realized he was the best player on the field," Sassi said. "That's when he started to dominate. His height is tough to throw over, but he's not just a pass rusher because he's good against the run too."He's a kid with a lot of upside."Morris adds offerDuke extended a verbal scholarship offer to tight end Ryan Morris (Barnegat, N.J./Barnegat) on Monday.Morris also has offers from Syracuse, Louisville, Purdue, Indiana, Central Florida and Tulane.
