Dan Connaughton (Lincoln, Mass./Buckingham, Brown & Nichols) was among those at the University of Connecticut's spring game Saturday.Connaughton, a 6-foot-3, 275-pound defensive end, is hearing regularly from Connecticut, Boston College, Maryland and Brigham Young. His only offer to this point came from Bryant University."BYU is coming out Wednesday to watch me work out," Connaughton said. "I've also heard from Penn State and Syracuse. I'm looking at Harvard and Penn as well."Right now I have no idea where I want to go. I'm hoping to play [FBS] football and I'm keeping all my options open."Connaughton has shown strong interest in Boston College. He attended the BC camp last summer, as well at the team's game against Clemson last year and a BC junior day earlier this year.He played outside linebacker during his sophomore year, when he attended Lincoln-Sudbury High School, but was shifted to defensive end when he transferred to BB&N. Junior Eric Olson, who is considered to be one of the top offensive line prospects from New England, also transferred to BB&N from Lincoln-Sudbury.Connaughton said he plans to attend one-day camps at Boston College, Connecticut and Maryland this summer."Coaches have told me they like my technique and the way I use my hands," Connaughton said. "I'd definitely like to get my decision done before my senior season, but if it happens after my senior year starts that's really not a big deal."
