Quarterback Chad Kelly (Buffalo, N.Y./St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute) has 11 verbal scholarship offers, but said Clemson, Florida State and Rutgers are the school's showing the most interest.Kelly, the nephew of Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly, is scheduled to be at Clemson this weekend for the team's spring game, which will be played Saturday.Kelly's most recent offer came from Purdue last weekend."Purdue is definitely a school I want to visit," Kelly said. "I went to the Syracuse scrimmage in Rochester last week, and I'm definitely interested in Rutgers. I like the coaching staff and the offense. [Rutgers offensive coordinator] Frank Cignetti is one of those coaches who knows how to get quarterbacks to the next level. That definitely has me interested."The 6-foot-3, 205-pounder said he plans to visit Alabama and Florida State before the end of April.Kelly passed for 2,159 yards and 24 touchdowns last season. He also rushed for 1,059 yards and 15 more scores."All the coaches I've talked to call me a playmaker," Kelly said. "They said they see me as someone who can come in and control the offense right away."Kelly said Wisconsin, Duke, Miami, Penn State, Michigan, Michigan State and Nebraska are among the other schools that are showing significant interest."They've all said they want to see me throw [in person]," he said. "We sent film out to 50 different colleges and we're still hearing from schools. I'm gonna try and narrow it down to a top 10 in the next two months."
