Centerville (Ohio) defensive end
Ifeadi Odenigbo hasn't made too many changes to his top five list but does plan to play out the process after thinking of making an early decision last spring.Odenigbo is one of the nation's best at his position and has his choice of just about any school in the country. He took several unofficial visits last summer including checking out a pair of Pac-12 schools."I camped with Cal and Stanford and loved both places," Odenigbo said. "Those schools are close by but very different. There was a lot of talent at Cal and I liked the coaches a lot. Stanford was amazing and my mom really liked it there."Those two are high on my list along with Notre Dame and Northwestern. Ohio State is still there too. I haven't set up any official visits yet but I'm pretty sure I'll be going to Notre Dame (Oct. 22) when they play USC. I haven't decided if I'll take all five of my trips yet, I'm still working out some details and trying to figure out how I want to do this. Right now, I'm just trying to get healthy for our season."Odenigbo said he injured his hand while participating in The Opening last July but is getting better and doesn't feel he'll miss any game action this season.
Moore lands first offerThey may have lost standout corner
Tee Shepard (Fresno, Calif./Washington Union) to transfer but Central (Fresno, Calif.) still has a loaded secondary. Junior corner
L.J. Moore is already hearing from several schools out West and has one offer on the table.Moore will be a three-year starter for Central and will be among the top defensive backs in the state next year. At 6-0, 165 pounds, Moore is a tall, rangy corner with good quickness and excellent ball skills."Arizona State is my first offer right now," Moore said. "I'm also hearing a lot from Colorado, Arizona and UCLA. I think there are some others but those are the main ones and they always go through my position coach, Tony Perry, so I'm not sure how close they are to offering but he said they're all very interested."Right now, I'm really open to everyone and don't have any early leaders. I never grew up with a favorite team or anything like that so I'm truly open to all the schools. It's early for me right now and I'm going to take my time with the process. Next summer I'll do some visits and I know I want to check out ASU but that's about all I know right now."Moore said academics will play a big role in his decision."I want to major in sports management or sports medicine," Moore said. "So I'll be looking for a school that is strong in that field. I also want to play for a team where I'll be able to come in and play early and for a school where I'll be comfortable with the coaches and players as well."
