ESPNU 150 OLB
Brett Bafaro (Hillsboro, Ore./Liberty) is taking a wait-and-see approach to the recruiting process and he has recently added a couple of top Northwest schools to his offer list."Oregon State and Washington have both offered me," Bafaro said. "I already had Oregon, Colorado, Boise State, Idaho, Utah and Portland State. I'm also hearing a lot from Nebraska and Oklahoma State and it would be awesome to get an offer from those two as well."Bafaro grew up an Oregon fan but commented back in July that he was a little hesitant about the Ducks when news broke about the schools involvement with Willie Lyles and possible sanctions. "I'm comfortable with Oregon now and I think the coaches are handling things the right way," Bafaro said. "At first, I was a little nervous about things going on but I trust the coaches at Oregon and I think things will be taken care of the right way."Right now, I'm trying to stay open to everyone and learn as much as I can. If I had to name early leaders, it would be Oregon, Oregon State and Washington but that's because those are the only schools I've visited so far. I went to a Husky practice recently and loved it there and I'm going to try and get out to Oregon and Oregon State too."As far as a timeline on a pending decision, Bafaro said he's open to all possibilities."I could commit in two days from now or at the end of my season," Bafaro said. "It really is open and I'm just going to play things out and see how I feel. I want to take some visits but I also like the idea of having the decision over with and behind me so I'm just going to see how things go and try and keep an open mind if I can."
