SMU has made a big impact recruiting in California the last couple of years and landed another talented prospect in offensive lineman
Carl Hulick (Anaheim, Calif./Esperanza) on Thursday. The Aztecs have an incredible tradition of producing Division I offensive lineman and Hulick is the latest in a long line. "I'm very excited about my decision and about getting it over with early," Hulick said. "I really wanted to have this decision out of the way before school started so I could just focus on my senior season. I didn't get that vibe from anyone until I visited SMU and then I knew that was the best place for me."I really like the coaches and especially Coach [Adrian] Klemm and June Jones, the head coach. Coach Klemm has been recruiting me for a while now and the fact that he'll also be the one coaching me is big plus. I felt like I fit in well in Texas and I was very comfortable there on the visit so I decided now was the time to get this done."Hulick said his commitment is firm but he could still do a few official visits in the fall."I'm set on SMU, I don't see anything that will turn my head," Klemm said. "At the same time, I think it would be cool to do some official visits. Army, Nevada and Stony Brook have all offered me and we'll see if other schools come at me during the season. I'm not really worried about it though, I'm very happy with SMU and feel it's a great fit for me."
