• Boise State felt right to Chris Santini

It always seemed like just a matter of time and on Monday linebacker Chris Santini (San Jose, Cali,/Leland) pulled the trigger and committed to Boise State. After playing safety his sophomore and junior seasons, Santini made a successful move to linebacker this spring. His recruitment came down to the Broncos and Oregon State but in the end, he went with the school who gave him his first scholarship offer back in the spring."I was always leaning to Boise State," Santini said. "I waited this long to see if any other colleges could change my mind but that never happened. I didn't want to rush in to anything but the more I thought about it, the more I realized Boise State was the best place for me."I love the fan support and the game atmosphere there and the coaches are incredible as well. They offered me way back in March and that first offer always stands out to you. I think I fit in really well in their defensive system and I like my opportunity to play early there. They like me as a nickel backer, which is kind of a cross between a linebacker and safety so that's perfect for me."Along with the Broncos and Beavers, Santini was also offered by Utah, San Jose State, UNLV, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Army and Utah State.
