After announcing a top 10 list back in June, four-star offensive lineman Zach Banner (Lakewood, Wash./Lakes) said he's close to naming a final five and already knows one school that will make the cut.Banner's original top 10 list consisted of Alabama, Cal, Florida State, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, USC and Washington. A recent unofficial visit to USC has the Trojans a lock to make his final five."That's the one school I know for sure that will make it in there," Banner said. "My visit last week was incredible and I really had a good time. It's such a nice place and I had to chance to meet a lot of people. I met up with the entire football staff and also talked with the basketball coaches and they said I could for sure play both sports so that was good to hear."I loved the campus and the opportunities that USC offers, not just in football but after football. I said I wanted the opportunity to play early and they said I would have that chance and said I was one of the top players on their board. Overall, the visit couldn't have gone any better and I'm definitely looking forward to coming back to visit USC again on an official visit."Banner said his plan is to wait until the end of September before making his final cut."I want to watch these teams play a few games," Banner said. "Then at the end of September after I've seen all the teams play and I have a better feeling about them, I'll cut my list down to five. I'll take all five visits, some during the season and some after and then make my decision around signing day."
