Cal picked up a huge commitment from talented receiver Bryce Treggs (Bellflower, Calif./St. John Bosco) over the weekend. Treggs made the announcement on ESPNU during The Opening, but the Bears came very close to landing not just one but two receivers last week.Fellow receiver Kenny Walker (Sacramento, Calif./Kennedy) was also expected to announce his decision this week with the Bears as his school of choice. In fact, on Tuesday when the players arrived, Walker had just gotten the OK from his father to announce on TV and everything was set for him to seal the deal on Saturday. At the last minute, Walker had a change of heart."I just want to wait a little longer," Walker said. "Cal is still my top school but I don't want to rush in to anything. This is a big decision for me and committing so early before I've seen a lot of other places just didn't feel right. So I'll take my visits and make my decision during the season or after our season is over."UCLA and Boise State are the top competitors for the Bears at this time.
